Kym Ah Fook is the Centre Manager at Tadpoles, leading the day-to-day operations of our beautiful, purpose-built centre in the heart of Māngere Bridge, nestled right beside our much-loved maunga.
Kym brings more than 21 years of experience in early childhood education. She spent many years as a teacher before moving into leadership roles, including Head Teacher and later Centre Manager. Her professional journey has been shaped not only by her teaching experience but also by her own journey into motherhood. Becoming a mum shortly after graduating gave Kym first-hand insight into the importance of strong, respectful relationships in a child’s development—an approach that continues to guide her leadership and practice today.
Kym feels privileged to work alongside a passionate and dedicated team of kaiako who share her commitment to creating meaningful connections with tamariki and whānau. She strives to foster an open, inclusive, and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and heard.
Kym is excited to welcome you to the Tadpoles whānau and looks forward to building strong relationships with you and your child.
Kym heads an excellent, team of teachers to ensure your child gets the best care and early childhood education.
If you have any questions, about your child attending Tadpoles, Kym is more than happy to chat to you.

Cindy Taylor is the Centre Owner of Tadpoles, providing strategic leadership, governance, and administrative oversight to ensure the centre continues to thrive and deliver high-quality early childhood education to the Māngere Bridge community.
Cindy brings extensive experience in both education and leadership, having previously worked as Deputy Principal of a large Auckland intermediate school and as Centre Director of a busy ECE centre. She played a pivotal role in the original design, building, and establishment of Tadpoles, contributing significantly to the creative layout of the learning environments and outdoor play spaces that our tamariki enjoy today.
While Cindy is no longer involved in the day-to-day running of the centre, she continues to support Tadpoles through her work in administration, staffing, and long-term planning. Her focus is on maintaining strong governance, ensuring compliance, guiding centre development, and supporting the teaching team to provide rich and meaningful learning experiences.
Cindy remains deeply committed to the values that underpin Tadpoles and works closely with the Centre Manager and leadership team to ensure the centre remains a warm, welcoming, and high-quality environment for tamariki and whānau.
If you have any questions about enrolment, governance, or centre operations, Cindy is always happy to connect.
