Kākano is lovely room for our under 2's. We believe in making this room look like a home away from home so the children feel comfortable and safe. Our child to staff ratios are exceptional so that care moments are carried out respectfully where children's emotional needs are met. Resources have been carefully selected to allow children to grow and develop at they own pace  .We have a well planned outdoor area that consists of all the favourites that infants love. This area is accessible to the children at all times. We follow a primary caregiving system during the settling in period, but all teachers will be available for one-to-one discussions at drop offs and pick ups.

Punua is our toddler room which caters for children
2 years - 3.5 years old. The room has a wonderful outdoor space with a large sandpit, mud kitchen, slide, loft, whare, bike track, rock river (where children can pump for water) and a large deck area that can be screened off in wet weather.

Toddlers are always super busy so we make sure we are well staffed in this room so that all needs like toileting and learning to manage ourselves is supported. Although there isn't a seperate sleep room, we have facilities to allow our toddlers to sleep after lunch each day.

Poraka is the last room our children will be part of before they head off to school. With this in mind we provide more opportunities here for children to become self directed and independent in their learning. They are exposed to more literacy and numeracy to help them prepare for school and with a abundant supply of interesting provocations we cater to all interests that are going on in the room.
The children in this room have many opportunities to be exposed to community resources and regular walks up the maunga is enjoyed by all. When children are 4 years old they are involved in a readiness for school programme which consists of school visits and group learning experiences.
